We believe every farmer deserves access to technology, markets, and financial support.
To empower every smallholder farmer with the digital tools, market access, and financial support they need to build a sustainable, profitable farm β regardless of their location, language, or internet speed.
A world where no farmer goes to bed hungry because they lacked access to technology, markets, or capital. Where agriculture is dignified, technology-enabled, and economically rewarding for the people who feed the world.
Every decision we make starts with one question: Does this help the farmer? Their voice shapes every feature we build.
We publish our financials, show donors exactly how funds are used, and give farmers full control of their own data.
Designed for low-bandwidth, local-language users in rural Africa. Not an afterthought β a core design principle.
We build with communities, not for them. Farmer councils guide our roadmap and policy decisions.
We believe agriculture and environment must coexist. Our carbon module rewards farmers for protecting the planet.
Farmer data is never sold. Security is not optional β it is the foundation of the trust farmers place in us.
FarmOpt began in 2022 when our founders β a group of software engineers and agricultural workers β noticed a painful gap: millions of African farmers had smartphones, but no tools built for their reality.
The first version was a simple crop tracking app tested with 50 farmers in Senegal. Within 3 months, farmers reported saving up to 30% on input costs simply by tracking what they spent. The word spread fast.
By 2023, we had farmers in 12 countries. Donors joined, sponsors connected with farmers directly, and buyers started purchasing produce straight from farm to table. What started as a tracking app became a full ecosystem.
Today, FarmOpt serves 12,000+ farmers across 28 countries. We are still growing β and we are still listening to farmers every single day.
A small, passionate team building technology for the people who feed the world.
We are hiring passionate people who want to change agriculture.
